Let’s be direct: you buy this case for SlimLink, Peak Design’s magnetic mounting ecosystem. The magnets are significantly stronger than MagSafe — we measured 1,200g of hold force compared with MagSafe’s roughly 700g.
This matters when you’re mounting your phone to a bike handlebar on rough roads or using it as a dash cam. We tested both. The phone never moved.

Protection: adequate, not exceptional
The Everyday Case isn’t a rugged case. It’s a minimalist case that provides sensible protection. We tested 2m drops onto concrete — the phone survived. This is not a construction-site case.
The raised camera lip is minimal but effective. The polycarbonate shell is rigid without feeling brittle. The nylon canvas backing provides excellent grip without being tacky. At 28g, you barely notice it’s there. That’s the point.
Daily use, six weeks in
The good: buttons are precise. Wireless charging works. The case hasn’t discoloured. The canvas hasn’t frayed.
The not-so-good: slim means limited drop protection. If you’re clumsy, choose something thicker. The fabric backing collects lint in pockets.

Skip it if you need maximum drop protection, never mount the phone, or want a case that develops character over time.

Verdict
The Everyday Case succeeds at exactly what it attempts: being nearly invisible until you need to mount your phone. Then it’s the best option available.
We use this case on the bike commute and photography outings. For everything else, we switch to something more protective. That versatility is what Peak Design intended.
