Anker 3-in-1 MagSafe charging station: finally, a charger worth the desk space
Multi-device chargers usually compromise. This one doesn’t.
Most 3-in-1 charging stations look like they were designed in a committee meeting. The Anker 3-in-1 MagSafe Station looks like someone actually cared.
What makes it different
The build quality is immediately obvious. The aluminium base has weight to it — this won’t slide around your nightstand. The silicone padding protects your desk and dampens the click when you place your phone.
MagSafe alignment is perfect. We never missed in a month of testing. That sounds basic, but many competitors require careful placement. Anker got it right.
Qi2 certification means your iPhone 15 charges at 15W without generating excessive heat. After 30 minutes of charging while using the phone (worst-case for heat), the back of our iPhone 15 Pro measured 34°C. Warm, not concerning.
The Apple Watch module works properly
Here’s where most competitors fail: the Apple Watch charger. Anker’s puck charges Series 9 and Ultra 2 at full 5W and properly supports Nightstand mode. The angle is right for the bedside.
We tested fast charging — Apple Watch Series 9 went from 0% to 80% in 65 minutes. That matches Apple’s official charging speeds.
Real-world use
We ran this station for 30 days as our primary charger. Here’s what we learned:
- Placement matters. The iPhone area works in portrait only. If you want landscape for StandBy, look elsewhere.
- Cable management. The 1.5m cable is right for most desks. The USB-C connector sits flush.
- Heat. The base stayed at 28°C after two hours charging all three devices.
- Compatibility. iPhone 15 Pro (cases up to 3mm), AirPods Pro 2, Watch Series 9, and iPhone 14 Pro all behaved.
Minor gripes
The LED is bright — visible in a dark bedroom from across the room. We taped ours. A dimmer would be welcome. The station is a touch light when you yank the iPhone off; you sometimes steady it with the other hand.
Should you buy it?
If you own an iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch, and you care how the nightstand looks, yes. $159.99 AUD is reasonable — Belkin costs more for similar performance.
What you’re paying for: Qi2 and proper 15W, reliable Watch fast charging, build that feels premium, and a charger that doesn’t look like clutter.
How it compares

Verdict
This is the 3-in-1 we’re keeping on the desk. It works, it looks good, and it doesn’t make us think about charging. That’s exactly what a charger should do.
